~Back on Board~

Wow. It has been MONTHS since I have blogged. In my defense, I have been uber busy. I had four weeks of camp this summer and school started last month. So, I am now going to catch you up on a few things:)

First off, camp. It was amazing. It always is. There has yet to come a day when I don't want to be at camp. If it were up to me, I'd live there. Why is it so great you ask? It's not the smelly bathrooms or the terrible water pressure, no. It definitely isn't the un-air conditioned chapel. It's the people. I love them all. Not all are devoted christians... but isn't that why we go to camp? Most of them are great people who will be lifelong friends. I can't wait to see them in January at Mid-winter!

Next on the list, school. I must say that I absolutely love school. Yes, I am tired all of the time. Yes, I have homework almost every night from several different classes. Yes, I have almost no free time. But I made tons of new friends. Including a foreign exchange student named Julie who is from Germany! I found that I actually enjoy having a social life. Being home schooled was great when you wanted to be lazy and not do as much work:) But you have no life other than at home with your family. Don't get me wrong, I love my family. But you go crazy seeing the same people all day every day. So, with school, it is definitely a love hate relationship.

I guess I should go ahead and talk about my boyfriend as well. I'm sure you are all curious:) His name is Tyler and he is my age amazingly. He is super tan so I look like a ghost next to him. And he is the perfect hight. You should also know that he drives a mustang. Its pretty much awesome. It is white with blue racing stripes! Speaking of Tyler... he just told me that he might have to get his head shaved... apparently everyone on the football team is doing it. Homecoming is in two weeks. Great.

I think that is pretty much my last few months summarized in a few paragraphs. Sweet! Maybe I should just do this again, wait a few months then get on and summarize everything that has happened instead of getting on everyday!

~New Things~

~Well, we moved in. The second day we worked on the basement Mom said, "Lets go ahead and move some clothes up here, and we might be able to sleep here tonight!" So we did. It's amazing how fast you can get something done when you really want to! I personally love my new room. A lot of it has to do with it being HUGE! Well compared to the other rooms I have had anyway. The only thing I really want done... is new carpet. It is yellow, just like the house and all of the countertops. Apparently my grandparents like that color. My room is pretty. I have a cute comforter which is brown and blue. And my walls are sort of a dark tope. My grandpa decided to get a new couch, so I got his! When he told me about it, I had remembered the color wrong. Apparently instead of it being a light brown, it is more of a reddish orange color... good thing they have couch covers! But, I am very thankful for it. It is really only about 6 months old. AND it is super comfy!
It is still weird calling this place home. I know it hasn't been long, but I wish I would adjust quicker. I was really excited about moving up here until it was actually time to move. It all happened so quickly. Well, not really... we have been cleaning this place out since November. But, it was a snap decision to move. Mom. :) I don't mind it here. Grammy and Granddad keep to themselves. However, it is stinking cold here! Apparently, the person who is always the coldest ended up in the coldest room of the house! How is that logical????
I am glad the whole moving process is almost over though. My room is almost cleared out. The girls still have a bunch of toys that need brought up, same with AJ, and Mom and Dad have most of their stuff, so its close.

~I am excited about youth group. I was helping my mom in the toddler class, and Joe kept asking if I was going to go to youth group. I didn't want to at first. Mostly because I wasn't really very close to anyone there. At the Mid-winter retreat at MLCC, I hung out a lot with Paige. She is awesome. And I am already pretty close with her. Two weeks ago was our youth pastor's last week, so I decided to go. And I had fun! I never really gave it a chance. Plus, I went during the summer, and it was only Nick, Matt, and I almost every week. So, having more people there helped. Anyway, tonight I stepped out of my comfort zone, and actually talked to people in the youth group. More than just saying, "hey!". And I am Glad I did. I found out that Nick is funny, Parker talks about more than his Muscles, Matt is sweet, and I also met Nathan who I didn't get to talk to much. Plus, Brittney, Paige and I decided to have a mini slumber party thing at my house since I have a new big room! I am also excited about the way the youth group is going. In the past we haven't done very many fun things. We all threw our ideas out tonight. I suggested roller skating. Joe told us that we are going to have a church dinner March 1st to save money for CIY this year. I am super excited to that! Bowling was also suggested. I can't wait to see what God does with our youth group.

~Obsessed~

Ever been obsessed with a book? I mean OBSESSED!  You read them multiple times, buy shirts, posters, the movie, you constantly talk about it, or randomly start thinking about it... Well, I am currently obsessed with a book series by Stephenie Meyer. There are four books in the series, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. They are very odd books. They are all about the love between a human girl (Bella), and a vampire (Edward). Oh, and Bella's best friend is a werewolf (Jacob). Sound interesting? Oh, it is!

I first heard of the series from flair, a Facebook application. I would say that the series was stupid and people were crazy for reading them. Then I read them. I was instantly hooked! I read all four books within a week! (by the way, they all had from 500-800 pages in each one) In fact, I am reading them all for the second time! I am mostly reading them again because I missed a lot of the book due to skimming. But, I also don't want to leave the characters. I feel like I know them! I even did the whole sides thing. You know, "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob" (I pick Edward) :) Today, my mom and I went to Hot Topic to get me a shirt, and came home with two. One has my favorite character's face on it (Jasper), and the other has Edward himself on it.

It is sad really. How we can get pulled into the things of this world. Pastor Jared taught our wednesday night class last week, and it got me thinking. Here I am, obsessed with these books, and what I should really be obsessed with is Christ. I know, I should already know that! For goodness sakes I call myself a christian! I do know that, but I tend to forget. Actually, I forget a lot. Thank you God for your grace!

~Great Friends, Great Food~

It was so great to be able to spend the evening with two great friends. My parents and I went over to Mike's house, and had dinner with him and his roommate, Kyle. They have the cutest house! I couldn't believe how clean it was! There was NOTHING out of place. Even Mike's room was clean. Of course, Mike didn't show us Kyle's room... maybe that is where they hid everything. We ate dinner, which was very good! Kyle loved it so much he ate two entire pieces of chicken and a ton of potatoes! Oh yeah, he also had corn. When we were cleaning up, I had to put something in the fridge. I opened the wrong door on accident, and saw four tubs of ice cream, along with many TV dinners. Mike laughed at my expression and told me that the ice cream in the freezer was only half of what Kyle had brought home! Apparently the ice cream was on sale for $1.99, and he couldn't decide which flavor to get... so he just got them all! Now thats the way to buy!

~New Adventure~

So, I decided to start a blog. This will be interesting! The closest think I have ever done to blogging is a note every once in a while on Facebook. It may take some time for me to get into the habit of writing everyday. If you have any tips for me please share!
